Under-pressure police claim they have arrested some suspects over the Kampasa massacre that saw two people shot dead by Zambia National Service officers over a land dispute.
Lusaka Province Police Commissioner Joyce Kasosa who could not reveal the identify of the suspects said they were in detention.
Kasosa said the police were making headway in investigations although usually that means nothing is being done.
“We have arrested some people who are suspects and they are currently in detention,” Kasosa said.
“For now there identities are withheld.”
Two people were shot dead by ZNS officials last Friday following a land dispute in Lusaka’s Kampasa area.
