Three people have died on the spot in a road traffic accident at Arcades round-about along the Great East road in Lusaka.
Police deputy public relations officer Charity Munganga Chanda says the accident happened around midnight last night involving an Isuzu Wizard registration No.ALE 3292 which overturned several times due to suspected excessive speeding.
Chanda says the deceased in the vehicle which was heading towards Manda Hill from the University of Zambia direction include the driver and two other passengers.
She says the bodies of the deceased are lying in the University Teaching Hospital mortuary awaiting identification and postmortem.
Chanda says Police have since launched investigations into the accident after two live ammunition believed to be that of an MHK 53 were found in the extensively damaged vehicle.
