A political analyst Neo Simutanyi says President Michael Sata’s statement that he will only develop areas where he the people vote for the ruling party belongs to the stone age.
Simutanyi, a former UNZA don, said it was sad especially that Sata used to condemn the votes for development type of politics.
“That statement in Chipata by President Sata that he will only take development to areas that voted for the PF is sad. That type of politics really belongs to the stone age,” he said.
“Mr Sata himself in opposition used to condemn this kind of behaviour but now he has become a champion of the things he used to fight.”
He added: “We are hoping that the country can move from this type of politics because once a leader or president is elected their role becomes national even looking out for the interests of those who did not vote for them.”
President Sata told a political gathering on Saturday that those that voted against the PF should forget about development coming to their areas.
