The police are struggling to find a reason to hold Andrew Banda after arresting him with the intention to charge him with defamation of the president.
Banda who was released yester night was again re-called to Woodlands police station at noon for questioning.
A police source said they had acted on instructions from State House but found it foolish to have had to physically manhandle him in public.
“We were just told to trail him after his statement in The Post where he talked about the people of Eastern Province being sidelined in politics. That statement unsettled the PF and they tasked us to look for a reason to detain him so we had no choice when we executed orders,” the source said.
“He was released but now again it is like State House wants to intimidate him.
This is even why Henry Banda cannot come back because they have shown how they want the Rupiah Banda family treated.”
Banda was by press time at Woodlands Police Station for interrogation.
The officers are saying Banda called Sata a satanist linking him to the many bloody accidents that have rocked the country.
