Expelled United Party for National Developmet Sinazongwe Member of Parliament Richwell Siamunene seems to be psyching himself for losing the Sinazongwe seat and has said that the people are behind him in accepting a ministerial job in the Patriotic Front without his party’s blessing.
Siamunene, who is holding on to his seat courtesy of a court action, said he would trounce the UPND in any election although he has gone to court to demand that he still remains in the party.
He said the people of Sinazongwe were in full support of his decision to join the Patriotic Front government and that he was laying the ground for the impending by-election.
Siamunene accepted a deputy ministerial position in the PF government without consulting his party and was subsequently expelled by the UPND.
He appelaed the decision but the Lusaka High Court threw out his application saying it lacked merit and the Sinazongwe lawmaker appealed to the Supreme Court.
