MMD parliamentarian Vincent Mwale was Thursday evening irked by the state owned but PF controlled ZNBC over an inaccurate report on the 2013 budget.
He has since advised ZNBC to desist from misinforming Zambians in their attempt to impress their masters.
Mwale was disturbed by ZNBC’s deliberate attempt to suggest parliament had unanimously passed the K32 trillion budget presented recently.
The youthful law-maker said what had come to the conclusion was finance minister Alexander Chikwanda’s speech and not the budget.
According to the law-maker’s social media comments, he advises ZNBC to counter check their facts before broadcasting information.
“ZNBC, that is misinformation to the nation, parliament has not yet began to deal with the actual budget estimates. How do you report that parliament has unanimously passed the K32 trillion budget?” he wondered.
Mwale advised that MPs will only begin to deal with estimates of the budget on Friday after concluding the finance minister’s budget.
