Zambians for Empowerment and Development party president Fred Mutesa says the wrangles in the ruling Patriotic Front are diverting the country’s developmental agenda.
Mutesa said the PF seem to have forgotten that they were elected to run the country and were now focussed on their intra party wrangles more than they were on developing the country.
“This circus has been allowed to go on for so long and it is beginning to divert the party’s attention from governing the country. Instead of delivering on the numerous promises they made now they are outdoing each other on who is endorsing who or why someone should not speak against the endorsement,” Mutesa said.
“The sooner this is stopped the better for the country. The PF seem to think they have ruled Zambia for 20 years from what they are doing. They seem fatigued from just two years of ruling and are lost.”
He said Zambians would judge them after five years and advised the PF to focus on a consisent developmental agenda and avoid spontaneity.
