Former Patriotic Front Lusaka province chairman Davis Chama says PF Secretary General Wynter Kabimba could not have been handed his position if there is tribalism in the ruling party.
Chama says Kabimba should not take advantage of the silence of senior members of the party by cooking up negative statements.
He says it is unfortunate that Kabimba is now witch-hunting realizing that the party members on the grassroots do not want him anymore.
He adds that it is Kabimba who has been championing campaigns that the United Party for National Development (UPND) is a tribal party.
Chama has since advised Kabimba to be sober and desist from accusing some party officials of being behind calls by cadres to have him removed as party Secretary General.
Mr. Chama has reiterated his call on Mr. Kabimba to step down if he is truly loyal to the party and respects the views of the people that put him in office.
