President Michael Sata has dismissed Ministry of Education permanent secretary Miriam Chinyama.
According to a letter addressed to Chinyama signed by President Sata, the Education permanent secretary has been retired in national interest.
The President wished Chinyama all the best in her future endeavours.
In the past months, President Sata has been making silent reshuffles to the lower organs of government especially the civil service.
He recently retired Secretary to Cabinet Evans Chibiliti and his deputy Teddy Mulonga in a move the President described as cleaning the civil service.
Last week, he told the new Cabinet office bearers to root out all civil servants who are perceived to be aligned to the former ruling party MMD.
