Police in Mufumbwe have impounded an MMD campaign vehicle on allegations that it was used to break the electoral code of conduct.
The police have accused the opposition MMD of distributing iron sheets to the electorate in Mufumbwe with the aim of influencing them to vote for the opposition.
A Mitsubishi Pajero registration number ABT 3739 has been impounded and is being held at the police station.
This has agitated MMD supporters who have stormed the station demanding the release of the truck.
MMD national youth secretary Tobias Kafumukache has warned of legal action against the police.
