Government has continued its ceaseless ultimatums to striking nurses by saying they should return to work by 17:00 hours or risk disciplinary action.
Health Minister Joseph Kasonde said the workers who have been striking have been noted as absent from work.
Nurses have continued their strike action with some having acceded to the order that they return to work while the bulk of them have remained defiant.
Meanwhile, nurses in Chipata have joined in the strike action that is fast spreading across the country.
So far nurses in Livingstone, Levy Mwanawasa General Hospital, Kasama and the University Teaching Hospital have downed tools demanding not less than 100% salary increment and also the arresting of the discrepancies in the pay structure.
