Kabwata Member of Parliament Given Lubinda says government should reinstate the dismissed nurses to help avert the critical shortage of health personnel in the country.
Lubinda, who donated Christmas presents at Kabwata Clinic, also revealed that the resignation of Defence Minister Geoffrey Mwamba had shocked him.
He said in the spirit of Christmas the nurses should be forgiven to ensure that their families were not thrown into destitution.
Lubinda said the resignation of GBM was shocking and hoped that the resignation would not destabilize the PF government.
“I must say that the decision was shocking and I failed to drive when I heard that news,” Lubinda said.
Lubinda was dropped at the height of the PF confusion at the instigation of party secretary general Wynter Kabimba who considers him one of his major threats to the 2016 presidential ambitions he harbours in the hope President Michael Sata does not contest on medical grounds.
