Former Defence Minister Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba has continued his interaction with the Bemba Royal Establishment with Chief Munkonge being the latest he has met two days after his resignation from government.
Mwamba, who resigned after President Michael Sata angrily called him to choose between interacting with the Bemba Royal Establishment and his ministerial position, said he will continue embracing traditional leaders.

Today, I paid a Courtesy Call on Senior Chief Munkonge of the Bemba People at his Palace. As you may be aware, my biological father died as Chief Munkonge. Senior Chief Munkonge is my father and I paid a courtesy call on him both as a son and MP for Kasama Central.
We touched on several issues pertaining to family and development of the area. We also took time to reflect on the Christmas Season and the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ.
