The case involving former Zambia Railways Managing Director Professor Clive Chirwa has failed to take off after the accused person’s lawyers failed to show up at court.
When the court came up before Magistrate Obbister Musukwa Chirwa, Chirwa informed the court that his lawyers Simeza Sangwa and Associates had withdrawn their services and he had since engaged Kabesha Mulilo as his new representative.
Chirwa and his co accused Regina Mwale a former finance director at Zambia Railways are charged with three counts of corruption including the authorization of the payment of K72, 000 to Fallsway Apartments without following the procedure.
The matter has been adjourned to January, 16 for commencement of trial.
