The UPND say they will write the international community next week over the police’s violation of Human Rights against the party and Zambians.
Party deputy spokesperson Edwin Lifwekelo said the police seemed proud of their brutality against UPND cadres at Woodlands Police Station on Monday.
He said the UPND would attach documentary evidence to their plea to the international community.
“We will write the international community next week on the police’s abuse of Human Rights. We will write to International Criminal Court in the Hague, European Union, Human Rights Commission, SADC over the abuse of Human Rights,” Lifwekelo said.
The police and UPND cadres clashed at Woodlands Police Station on Monday after the cops summoned the opposition party’s leader Hakainde Hichilema for questioning.
Chikankata Member of Parliament Munji Habeenzu was battered in the fracas.
