Opposition Alliance for Democracy and Development Father Frank Bwalya today appeared before the Kasama Magistrate Court for mention.
Father who is charged with defamation of the President appeared in person at the court with a horde of sympathizers.
Speaking to journalists outside the court Fr Bwalya urged Zambians to be strong and be ready for tougher times as they sought to better their country.
He said freedom came at a cost and he did not feel intimidated by the arrest.
Fr Bwalya was arrested for likening President Michael Sata to a potato that gets damaged by any attempt to straighten it.
His metaphor Chumbu Munshololwa angered the Head of State.
