The Patriotic Front government has stuck to their religious code of printing ballot papers in the United Kingdom, a practice that they condemned in the MMD era.
PF through their then spokesperson Given Lubinda had threatened to take UPG to court saying local printing company Government Printers had the capacity to undertake that assignment.
However, since assuming office with a historic by-election turn over since the dawn of multi party politics in Zambia, the PF has been printing ballots in the United Kingdom casting a blind eye to the exorbitant cost that they knowledgeably enlightened the Zambians about.
The Electoral Commission of Zambia has announced that ballot papers for the February 25 Katuba Constituency by-election will be printed by UK based company Smith and Osman.
Seven political parties will take part who are MMD, PF, UPND, ABZ, UNIP, NAREP and the National Revolution Party.
