Zambia’s Football Association is at the centre of an emerging rift after it emerged that Technical Director Honor Janza on Wednesday morning had an extra-ordinary bust after leaving the office of General Secretary George Kasengele.
According to well placed sources a visibly upset Janza who is on secondment to FAZ from Zesco Limited threatened to quit citing displeasure with handling of his technical department.
“He (Janza) was very annoyed. He was saying ‘I cannot be treated like a kid. Look for another TD. Am done’.
“When he was approached he didnt respond. He merely left but you could tell he was seething with rage.”
It is understood Janza is unhappy with administration at Football House. Kasengele is in charge of running FAZ on a full time basis while president Kalusha Bwalya is responsible for overall policy.
Zambia coach Patrice Beaumelle allegedly witnessed the incident which was inn full view of a group of waiting visitors at the Football House reception and media personnel who included Muvi Tv staffer Tim Zulu. Muvi TV have cowardly not reported on the incident.
Sources say other key stuff including Media Manager and Spokesman Erick Mwanza are considering their future at Football House.
Meanwhile, Janza could become the next Botswana boss. Reports indicate his resume is on the table in Gabarone.
The highly qualified coach with both CAF A and UEFA A licenses who also is a top CAF Instructor was assistant coach when Zambia won the Africa Cup in 2012.
