Patriotic Front Member of the Central Committee Willie Nsanda has angled in to dilute the claim by Kasama Central lawmaker Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba that he is very popular in Kasama.
Nsanda, who is the ruling party’s chairperson for transport, said he was happy under the current government that he was ‘eating’ well with flowing tenders for his businesses.
Mwamba told journalists yesterday that he was very popular and enjoyed massive support across political parties.
The former Defence Minister has endured government sponsored harassment since resigning his government portfolio with the police unleashed on his business empire looking for any signs of wrong doing.
Nsanda said Mwamba is not a Zambian as his mother was from South Africa.
“The claims by GBM that he is very popular amount to self deceit. I have been to Kasama and the structures and District and provincial level are intact except one man a Mr Abraham Mwansa who has left to join GBM,” he said.
He said he was benefitting immensely from President Michael Sata’s government.
Nsanda heads the Road Development Agency board that is remote controlled from State House where it has been moved.
