Opposition Movement for Multi Party Democracy President Nevers Mumba says he is very happy with the support he has been receiving from his Members of Parliament.
Mumba said he had grown his national appeal as MMD leader and was confident of leading the former ruling party to further success.
“I am very encouraged by the support I am getting from MMD MPs and I am not a stranger to MMD. I have a very good working relationship with my MPs and the rest of the party,” he said.
“Of course I have been in public life for 31 years as a pastor and then politician and diplomat so I am very confident of my national outlook.”
Mumba said the MMD will continue selling itself to the nation as they gear up for the 2016 general elections.
He paid tribute to the lawmakers for standing firm on the constitution.
