Liuwa constituency Member of Parliament Situmbeko Musokotwane has urged Republican President Michael Sata to personally spearhead employment creation in the country.
Dr. Musokotwane who is former finance minister in the previous government said the President should apply the same urgency he has exhibited in overseeing the operations of the Road Development Agency (RDA) in dealing with the thorny issue of unemployment.
He said unemployment is a biggest challenge in Zambia at the moment which needs the President Sata’s vigour and zeal.
The Member of Parliament noted that the pace at which the current government is tackling the issues of unemployment is worrying.
He said government has made so many pronouncements with regards to job creation without any visible tangible results.
