Youth leader Bowman Lusambo affiliated with the Movement for Multiparty Democracy has warned party national secretary Major Richard Kachingwe to stay away from the party secretariat in Lusaka, as his group aims to mobilise in order to pressure him to resign from his position.

Speaking in an interview, Lusambo said MMD youths will physically prevent him from going into the office tomorrow and lock the premises should he decide to ignore the warning and report for work.

He said the youths in the party were not happy with the way he was running their affairs of the party, especially that he had shown loyalty to President Sata instead of the party president Nevers Mumba.

“We don’t want him at the secretariat, if he comes tomorrow, we will drag him out and lock the office. We will see where he will operate from,” Lusambo said,

Kachingwe who is a retired Zambia National Service (ZNS) major said he will remain respectful of President Sata because he is the commander in chief of the armed forces and because he was dully elected by the Zambia people.

His position has irked the youths who say he is aligning himself with the ruling party because he is seeking a job, an allegation the major denies.
