Forum for Democracy and Development President Edith Nawakwi says her being moderate in criticizing the Patriotic Front should not be construed to mean that she is looking for a job from the ruling party.
Nawakwi said she had come under criticism from her colleagues in the opposition for being measured in her criticism of the PF.
“I have been very moderate (in criticizing the PF) some people even accuse me of looking for a job. My friends in opposition accuse me saying she is so friendly,” she said.
“If you hear me talking like this it is a barometer on the ground. Bane muchenjele twamisoka (friends be careful we have warned you).”
She said she had not been loud on the constitution as she wanted to hear President Michael Sata and Technical Committee chairperson Anel Silungwe give their position.
“(On the constitution) I have always been there and have not said anything I am sure you want to see me going on the streets. I have not spoken because I am interested in hearing face to face the President say where the process is coming from and going, I want to hear my chairman Anel Silungwe say it.”
Nawakwi said the caliber of Patriotic Front ministers was not helping.
