Opposition Movement for Multi Party Democracy president Nevers Mumba has refused to fall for the antagonistic stance taken by party spokesperson Dora Siliya in the party’s two pronged dog fight for power.
Mumba declined to respond to Siliya’s antics that the members would be forced to chase him if he resisted stepping aside as demanded by a faction of NEC members among them his two vice presidents Michael Kaingu and Brian Chituwo.
Mumba said it was not his style to run party affairs through the press.
“I am very busy organizing the party and will not run party affairs through the press. If anyone wants to discuss party matters we will discuss,” he said.
“If anyone rushes to the press then they are not part of us.”
Mumba, who has blown the whistle about a section of members fanning discontent, has repeatedly said their scheme is an alleged Patriotic Front sponsored agenda that loyal party members have seen through.
