Clik here to view.United Party for National Development (UPND) vice-president Dr Canisius Banda says the word yap which President Michael Sata used to dismiss calls for a new constitution he promised is a reference to dogs.
Commenting on President Sata’s advise to his stooges to ignore the debate on the constitution and remarks that those calling for a new constitution were yapping, Dr Banda said; “The word ‘yap’ is used about dogs, especially small ones when they make short and loud noises in an excited way.
“Oddly, now this is what President Sata is reffering to citizens that want a new Republican Constitution. He says they are ‘yapping’ and that they should be ignored.
“Now isn’t President Sata here guilty of being contemptuous of citizens, the very foundation upon which his presidency is founded? Is this what citizens voted for in September 2011? Have your say?”
