Zambia’s deputy ambassador to China Joe Chilaizya is on his way to the United States in the same capacity.
Chilaizya is taking over from Ben Kangwa who is returning to Zambia to take over as Zambia National Broadcasting Corporation (ZNBC) Director General following Chibamba Kanyama’s impending resignation to join World Bank.
Chilaizya’s transfer is with immediate effect. The former ZNBC Director General, who was co-opted into government from Hot Fm, has been staying in Kabulonga enroute to Washington after receiving the letter of transfer.
The source of this news is Chilaizya’s concubine Pamela Mubanga, a widow to one of the pilots that perished in the 1993 Gabon Air crash.
Pamela has been going round Lusaka boasting to her friends and family that after successfully wrecking Chilaizya’s marriage, she is now headed for the States with him.
“She’s come back from China with trunks and trunks of clothes and shoes and she’s now telling people in Lusaka that she and her husband are constructing a shopping mall in Lusaka near Memoria Park,” one of her relatives said.
“She’s really excited about the posting as if she was Joe Chilaizya herself.”
Pamela has a record of a string of affairs with Zambia Air Force personnel to gain pecuniary advantage.
