The Zambia Railways has failed to account for 1510 wagons worthy K31 billion after the concession agreement with the Railway Systems of Zambia was cancelled in September, 2012.
The newly cash replenished company has also not accounted for 59 coaches leading to concerns of whether the money being channeled to the institution is not being thrown down the drain.
Zambia Railways has put down the losses to the acrimonious manner the cancellation was done as the reason why it has been difficult to account for the losses.
The resuscitation of Zambia Railways has been problematic having claimed a board and the flamboyant professor Clive Chirwa in a cash scandal.
