Sports minister Chishimba Kambwili has responded to critics of Zambia’s preparations for the Zone Six Games saying the country was ready and will put up a good event.
There have been concerns over infrastructure that would be used for the games with the Swimming Pool, Nkoloma Stadium and Nasdec among those targets.

While Nkoloma Stadium, venue of the opening and closing ceremonies, is still a great concern, the Swimming Pool has undergone rapid touches.
Staff at the Olympic Youth Development Centre worked overnight to upgrade the pool which, although still being worked on, is said to be ready to host the Games.
This gave Kambwili hope and some vigour to respond to critics via social media.
“The Zone Six Games start this week and as Government we are convinced beyond any reasonable doubt that the country would be ready to host the successful youth games.
“Everything is on schedule. Lets show support and be proud of what we have done and continue to work hard,” he said.
Zambia will host over 500 young athletes from mostly southern Africa for the Zone Six Games that will be held starting this week.
