A United Party for National Development (UPND ) supporter was arrested on Saturday in Lusaka’s Kaunda Square for telling people that President Michael Sata will soon die.
A source from within the Zambia Police Intelligence Unit has disclosed in an interview with Zambia Reports that George Choombela went door to door in Kaunda Square and asked people to vote for UPND President Hakainde Hichilema because President Sata was going to die soon.
The source said Choombela did not realise that one of the people he was campaigning to was an Intelligence officer who quickly alerted police.
“What this man does is that every weekend he campaigns door to door for UPND President in Kaunda Square stage one and two but yesterday he landed at a house of an informer with the intelligence who reported the matter to the police,” the source said.
