Clik here to view.Patriotic Front cadres in the Copperbelt Province have publicly demanded that they be given priority in jobs and contracts by the ruling elite of their party as they have worked hard for it.
Addressing the Copperbelt leadership in Ndola, provincial chairman Sturdy Mwale said the serving Members of Parliament and ministers should not forget who helped them into their positions of influence.
Mwale warned that those who would fail the test of organizing jobs and contracts will be recalled by the party in 2016.
He said the low party functionaries had been too patient with the ‘men in suits’ and would show them where real power lay during adoption and voting time.
“We want to appeal to these men in suits; they should not forget who put them there. You should organize us jobs and contracts because we have worked hard for this party,” Mwale said.
“Those who have forgotten where you are coming from we want to remind you that 2016 is coming and we will recall you.”
A band of cadres troubled by the never-ending discourse surrounding the health of President Michael Sata staged a charade where they chanted “Sata fit, very fit” in a tone only they could be convinced of what they were chanting.
