Chipangali Member of Parliament Vincent Mwale says the fact that some Members of Parliament are not showy about their contribution to their constituencies does not mean they are not doing anything.
Mwale said Matero Member of Parliament may be seen to be the only one working given the flamboyant manner he conducts his business but other MPs were quietly transforming lives without being ostentatious.
Sampa has not lost any moment to show what a charitable Member of Parliament he is since buying 10 taxis that he has loaned to 10 youths in his constituency.
The K250, 000 loan he got from Indo Zambia Bank is guaranteed by his gratuity from parliament with the repayments from the 10 taxi drivers set to repay it.
“You don’t know who Sampa has followed doing that, the fact that you know what Sampa is doing with some of his money does not mean that others are not doing that,” Mwale said.
“For example six months ago, if you go to my constituency and check , I went round all the churches and promised all churches in my constituency that they were going to get roofing sheets from me if they have buildings that are grass thatched and that is from my own money.”
He said that it was improper to imagine that only MPs that had media access were working.
