Patriotic Front (PF) general secretary Wynter Kabimba is concerned at the division in the party Members of Central Committee (MCC).
Officiating at the party consultative meeting in Lusaka, Kabimba accused some senior party members of having divided loyalty to President Sata and the party.
He said some senior party members were disloyal and that they have been leaking information to the opposition political parties. He said such people should not be surprised if they were not give appointments into government because of their conduct.
Kabimba called on party members to be loyal as they prepare for the 2016 general elections.
Although Kabimba was not specific, senior members of the PF are not happy with President Sata’s decision to favour the Secretary General for the Presidency.
Most senior PF members are also uncomfortable with the relationship between Kabimba, The Post editor Fred M’membe and President Sata.
The senior members believe Kabimba is not popular enough to lead the party in 2016 if President Sata decides, on medical grounds, not to pursue a second term.
PF MCC members says Kabimba is too arrogant to sell to the voters and will have a lot of problems connecting to the general populous.
