Davis Chama, a former Lusaka Province chairman, has said the cadres from Kabwata were being used by Kabimba and other officials threatened by the lawmaker’s hard work.
Kabimba is on a mission to eliminate anyone who is potentially popular and tipped favourite to take over from President Sata in the 2016 elections.
He attempted to do so with defence minister Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba by springing corruption allegations but this backfired on him as he has also been caught in the corruption allegations and both ministers are now before the Anti-Corrupton Commission in which critics believe is now an academic exercise as they will be cleared.
According to Qfm, Chama has charged that the 144 petitioners who want Lubinda expelled from PF do not hold the opinion of Kabwata constituency residents.
He said residents of Kabwata hold their Member of Parliament in high esteem and gave him a resounding victory for the third time because of his good work .
Chama says it is unfortunate and highly suspicious that all these developments are taking place when Lubinda, who is also Foreign Affairs Minister, is out of the country on official duties.
He says it is therefore clear that a high ranking official of the ruling party is engineering and mobilizing cadres to denounce Lubinda.
Chama observes that denouncing Lubinda whose appointment is supported by the Republican President is merely rebelling against the appointing authority.
PF national youth chairman Chishimba Kambwili has become the first senior official to come to the defence of Lubinda saying it was uncalled for to see junior party officials attack their senior in public.
Kambwili has called for an end to the indiscipline spearheaded by Kabimba to come to an end.
