FAZ president Kalusha Bwalya is claiming he has no link to a donation of $20,000.00 to the United Party for National Development (UPND).
Kalusha, who according to Zambia Reports sources made the donation in the hope Hakainde Hichilema wins and does not forget him, expressed surprise the development leaked.
Kalusha, who is not new to such controversies, said he has never met any UPND official or its leader Hakainde Hichilema or any of his agents.
During the 2008 Presidential Election following the death of Levy Mwanawasa, Kalusha publicly endorsed Rupiah Banda for president but secretly donated US$10, 000 to then PF leader Michael Sata.
The soccer icon, however, says he didn’t know the source of the latest story claiming it was done to tarnish his image.
Kalusha, who is in South Africa, has therefore advised Zambians to ignore the report linking him to UPND.
Last year, Kalusha was named in a FIFA bribe scandal in which he benefitted US $80, 000 from Qatar magnet Mohammed Bin Hammam and is currently under investigations by the Anti Corruption Commission.
