Patriotic Front president Edgar Lungu showed some bite when he warned that he is getting impatient with political party violence.
Addressing a rally in Kapiri Mposhi that was also graced by former Republican President Rupiah Banda, Lungu warned the United Party for National Development that they will be annihilated if they allegedly continued attacking PF members.
The usually calm Lungu was not holding anything back and warned that the PF had the capacity to overwhelm the UPND both electorally and even physically.
“Let me warn Hakainde Hichilema that I will not tolerate the incidences of violence. I am going to react and use the law to sort him and his cadres out,” said Lungu who was using Bemba.
“Let them know that we are stronger both in numbers and also physically so we will not tolerate the attacks on our defenceless members.”
Political violence has reared its head as the campaigns go in the final stretch towards poll day with parties getting desperate to impose their presence.
