The Zambia police have put a false show of investigating the alleged leakage of the roadmap of the constitution to the opposition.
Acting public relations officer Esther Katongo says the police had instituted investigations in the matter with preliminary indications that the roadmap was leaked from within the ministry.
Katongo said the culprits would be charged for breach of the State Security Act.
However, the whole exercise seems a sham as government has moved in with the same roadmap that can hardly be labelled an act of security breach.
The opposition United Party for National Development released a roadmap for delivering a people driven constitution before the 2016 general elections.
Police made a similar show when the draft constitution that was leaked to the public surfaced online and the alarm amounted to nothing.
