Police have arrested nine Evelyn Hone College students after the riot that broke out on Thursday night.
The students have been detained at Lusaka Central police station.
Students rioted over the incessant load shedding and poor sanitary conditions.
The impasse at Evelyn though of a different nature adds to the increasing instability in the tertiary education sector that has seen the Copperbelt University closed with lecturers at the University of Zambia threatening to withhold results if they are not paid money owed to them by government.
