Long time political activist and former Zambia Democratic Congress president Langton Sichone has died.
Sichone, who also served as Zambia Centre for Inter Party Dialogue chairperson, will be remembered for having kept ZADECO alive long after founding member Dean Mung’omba died.
He twice contested the Kafue parliamentary seat and lost and perhaps his enduring legacy will be having stuck to opposition politics even amidst the temptation of joining the ruling party throughout the regimes he survived through.
The funeral is being held in Lusaka’s Bauleni Township behind Bauleni Primary School.
