Keembe UPND MP Princess Kasune Zulu has survived a storm on the Kariba Dam while on an excursion with her family.
The parliamentarian will look back to this weekend as one that brought both a political and natural storm.
Tonight, the boat she was on with her family drifted deep into the gigantic man made dam after strong winds experienced in Southern Province.
She was initially thought to have disappeared but re-emerging to calm nerves when she could broadcast live her location on facebook
Zambians took to social media to offer their prayers to the likeable politician who openness about her HIV/AIDS situation has won her many hearts.
“UPND Keembe Member of Parliament Princess Kasune Zulu stranded and stuck in the middle of the Kariba Dam after a strong whirlwind forced their boat to drift further into the lake,” Kasabo Seth Rozell Kalussa wrote.
Earlier, Kasune was fending off a political storm in which members of her opposition party UPND were not amused with images showing her interact with President Edgar Lungu at an official function near her constituency.
