ChipolopoloGhanaian are accusing Zambia of manouvers to fix the March 23 Brazil 2014 World Cup qualifier set for Maseru.

According to a Ghana online publication – Spyghana – there is an alleged plot to outwit the Black Stars in the 2014 World Cup qualifiers courtesy of Southern African solidarity hatched by Zambia and Lesotho.

Ghana are in the same group with Lesotho and Zambia as well as Sudan in the qualifiers for the tournament in Brazil as the third round of matches will be played this month.

Claims are that plans are far advanced for regional neighbours to play it soft for Zambia to gain the desired result to enable them edge past Ghana to win the group’s sole ticket to the final phase of the qualifiers.

The Zambians, according to Spyghana, know that Lesotho are capable of spoiling their party as the two sides clash in the qualifiers later this month in Maseru.

Keen on keeping their place on top of the group, unconfirmed information has it that low level officials in Zambia are trying to pull the regional cards for Lesotho to play it soft against them to give them advantage over Ghana in the qualifiers.

Despite these claims, the Zambian FA officials has vehemently denied that they are taking part in a plot to fix the match between the two countries this month.

The Chipolopolo are in pole position in the group thanks to three boardroom points they won following a protest against Sudan over the fielding of an ineligible player.

Meanwhile, FIFA could send special investigators to watch the match if they suspect there will be foul play during the game.
