A cross section of young people in Choma district in the Southern Province have called on the PF Government to offer employment to them as promised in the 2011 campaigns.
During a random interview today by SKY FM News today disclosed that their future in the PF Government was at crossroads and where not seeing any light at the end of the tunnel.
They disclosed that the PF Government had nothing to offer to the young people in the Country and promised made during the run up to the last general elections were merely words to solicit for their votes.
Lubinda Nawa a school leaver told SKY FM News that he had lost faith and confidence in the PF Government in the provision of decent jobs to young people in the country.
Nawa further stated that the new government has failed to woo investors that can invest in the district and recapitalize the old industries in the district so that youths can find employment.
Nawa who is currently unemployed said the rate of unemployment in Choma district among the youths is quite alarming and seriously needed to be addressed and further added that a lot of youths were still relaying on the PF Government to live to their campaign promises of creating more jobs for the youths and putting more money into their pockets.
And another unemployed youth Charles Banda further disclosed that the future of the youths in the country under the PF Government was under threats and a time bomb.
He disclosed that the PF Government under President Michael Sata do not care about the welfare of the youths in the Country claiming that after assuming office his appointments have been of the old retired citizens without regards to the youths who he said brought the PF Government into Office and were future leaders of the Nation.
Banda disclosed that the youths were watching with keen interest and was hoping that President Sata will never come back to the youths to solicit for votes
He disclosed that the youth movement brought the PF Government to power and the PF has done nothing to them and even appreciating their efforts.
Banda charged that time will come when it will be time for the youths to speak out and voice out their anger and advised that Government should not blame them for their actions.
He disclosed that the PF Government under President Sata was just to use them and ride on them for political office in promising them things they have failed to fulfil since coming to Office.
Banda further charged that the PF has lost it on the development of the youths in the Country and it was building a time bomb which he said will be hard to keep together adding that they were just merely watching the in fighting in the PF and its Government on the expenses of national development.
Efforts by SKY FM to get a media comment to any PF leaders provide futile as most contacted leaders refused t comment though others were saying that the PF is not the first Government to fail in providing jobs and urged the youths of the Country that time will come for them and only urged them to work hard.
