Republican President Michael Sata has bemoaned the slow pace at which the administrative capital of Southern Province is being shifted from Livingstone to Choma.
President Sata says since he declared Choma as a Provincial capital of Southern Province last year, little has been done to develop the area.
He says people will not take his government seriously if ministers do not supervise development projects.
The President has since urged provincial ministers to tour their areas and ensure that there is progress on developmental projects currently taking place.
President Sata was speaking at State House this morning when he swore in veteran politician Daniel Munkombwe as Southern Province Minister, Obious Chisala as Northern Province Minister, Bernard Kampasa and Lazarous Yumba as Permanent Secretaries.
