With the issue of Anti Retroviral Drugs seemingly moving off the public limelight part of the consignment that was hurriedly shipped into the country after last week’s shortage contains the wrong package.
According to sources at the country’s largest hospital the mix up may have come up following the hurried manner the order for the drugs was done.
“Remember the country had been thrown in panic when the media reported the anti-retroviral drugs shortage and the government had to clear the embarrassment and now we have this problem,” the source said.
“What would have happened if the patients that brought this to our attention never read the packaging. We are not sure how far this problem but there is something being done.”
Recently the country ran out of Neverapin an Anti-Retroviral Drug and the government confirmed the shortage saying the consignment had delayed at sea.
