President Michael Sata will this afternoon make a public appearance at the requiem mass of the late Information Minister Kennedy Sakeni.
Sata will join mourners at the Cathedral of the Child Jesus at 13:30 hours.
Sakeni, who died on Thursday, will be laid to rest on Tuesday at a yet to be announced venue.
President Michael Sata has declared three days of national mourning.
The former Mansa Central lawmaker served as minister in the MMD administration of Frederick Chiluba and also Levy Mwanawasa.
