United Party for National Development deputy spokesperson Cornelius Mweetwa says the threat by President Michael Sata to dissolve parliament is ill-timed and could scare away investors.
Mweetwa said the move sent a message of instability in the political set up of the country.
“The threat by the President to dissolve parliament just because PF ministers are not performing is a very sad development because such calls have the potential to scare away investors and tend to hint at some level of instability,” he said.
“It is ill timed and should not have been said.”
President Michael Sata on Monday threatened to dissolve parliament if his ministers continued being dormant in the face of continuous pounding from the opposition.
