Alliance for a Better Zambia president Father Frank Bwalya says the Patriotic Front has lost two years trying to politically entrench themselves rather than focus on development.
Father Bwalya said he did not expect the PF to be any different in the remaining three years as they were too focused on self entrenchment and wrangling internally to provide inspiring leadership.
“The PF is not going to deliver in the remaining three years because they seemed to have been preoccupied with self entrenchment at the expense of national development,” he said.
“They are also focusing their succession problems on who succeeds President Michael Sata as it is not clear if he is going to stand or not in 2016. All those things are making the national agenda suffer.”
He added: “The issue of defections will still dominate the PF’s political agenda as they seek to strengthen their numbers in parliament to rubber stamp decisions in parliament. So we expect that trend to also continue.”
