Sata Refuses to Commission Luapula Project

Sata RoadPresident Michael Sata again refused to commission yet another project demanding unclear circumstances for the ceremonial activity to take place.

The Head of State, who had been scheduled to launch the K13 million (in 2014 budget) Luapula University, caught a highly zealous Education Minister John Phiri off guard when after the officials had lined up for the ritual President Sata remarked: “You brought me here yet you have done nothing. What do you want me to do when you have not started doing anything?” A sheepish looking Phiri then said the launch will be done in March next year.

President Sata has yet to set the standard the state of which commissioning a project should be with officials usually caught off guard with his awkward demands on site.

Later President Sata addressed a poorly attended rally at Kaole Stadium where he noted the pitiful crowd that turned out, a far cry from his election winning 2011 attendances.

The rally was a thanks giving activity for the people of Mansa Central who voted for the PF candidate Chilufya Chitalu at the recent parliamentary by-election.
