Mulongoti and ChitalaPeople’s Party President Mike Mulongoti says the Patriotic Front is insisting on reviving INDECO because they want to give jobs to their cadres.

Mulongoti said there was no need for the PF that had demonstrated that they are steeped into capitalistic policies by practice to pretend that they could push a nationalistic agenda.

The former Works and Supply Minister said the PF should just concentrate on empowering the private sector and not pretend to be pushing for the introduction of failed policies.

“We are not sure the PF means well in trying to introduce INDECO because they just want to give jobs to their cadres. They should concentrate on supporting the private sector to make it grow, look at what happened in the developed world during the economic crisis the state moved in to bail out the private sector,” he said.

Mulongoti said should he one day take over power he would reverse INDECO re-instatement.

President Michael Sata’s announcement on New Year’s Day that he will re-establish INDECO has heavily divided opinion in the country especially that it was not mentioned in the budget and also its history of failure.
