Health Minister Joseph Kasonde says the Public Service Commission is still going through the files of the fired nurses before deciding who is going to be re-instated.
Kasonde said he was also in the dark over how much progress had been made in concluding the cases.
Government in November last year fired over 300 nurses after they went on strike demanding that mistakes be rectified on the payroll and also a promised salary increment.
Kasonde said he could not say how many nurses could be re-instated stressing that the government had also exercised their option of recruiting new nurses.
