Former Defence Minister Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba has obtained an injunction against his expulsion from the ruling party.
Mwamba, who was yesterday expelled by the Northern Province Patriotic Front executive committee, said the purported expulsion had not been communicated to him.
He has cited PF Secretary General Wynter Kabimba as the first respondent.
Mwamba said he was never accorded a chance to be heard by the ruling party.
The Kasama lawmaker fell from grace after siding with Senior Chief Mwamba, who President Michael Sata has bizarrely refused to acknowledge as the Bemba Royal Establishment’s choice for the position of Paramount Chief Chitimukulu.
Before the expulsion the PF top brass led by Vice President Guy Scot have publicly called for Mwamba to either resign or face expulsion.
